Do I need to download something for my computer to send something to my phone via bluetooth?

I have this ringtone studio thing, but it says that bluetooth wasn't detected. What do I do?

Usually bluetooth is powered off. First make sure it's powered on.

Then you need to 'link' or 'pair' the phone and the pc. Tell your phone (or pc) to be 'discoverable'. Once they find each other, it will typically ask for a number, choose a 4 digit number like 4444 for both devices.

The phone should then show up on the PC so you can transfer items. You did install the software that came with the bluetooth adapter, right?

I LOVE bluetooth, and use it between my pc, and between other phones all the time. I send people pictures, contacts and ringtones daily. It's fast and eliminate cords and email charges.
