If an employee works full time (40 hours-weekdays only ) for the federal goverment. At what time does he /she start working and at what time does she/he finish working?

a)8:30 am to 5 pm

b)8:00 am to 5:00pm

c)8:30 am to 4:30 pm

d) 9am to 3:30 pm

e)9 am to 5 pm?

f) If none of the above what is the right answer?

Please keep in mind this employee only works weekdays.

The answer must be 'a)' because the law (federal) says you must take a 15 minute break every 4 hours.

However, 'b)' could also be correct if you are allowed a 1 hour lunch break or two half hour breaks etc.

Divide 40 hours by 5 days and you realize the person has to work 8 hours a day. The Fair Labor Law requires a person have at least 30 minutes for lunch but they could also have a 60 minute lunch. SO ....... A is correct if they have a 30 minute lunch ........B is correct if they have a 60 minute lunch

ok. well is the employee works 40 hours a week and there are 5 days in the week, then he works 8 hours a day. right? so. which one of these answers is eight hours. 8:30-5 is 8 and a half hours. b- is 9 hours. c- is 8 hours!

so the answer is C!

divide 40 hours into 5 days, that's 8 hours per day. so which one has the 8 hours? you're welcome.
