and always tells the truth about everything, so because she has been in the united states before illegal she told immigration that, thinking it was the best thing, well turns out they plan on giving her a 10 year bar from returning inside the USA we asked INS what to do about the documents they said for her to leave first and when she did this is what they have planned for her, we have been married 6 years now , i can't afford to lose my job to move to her country to live thier ,because later i could not meet the income specks to get a visa petition approved a second time, why do they work so hard to import workers from the south, but build such tall fences to climb over for the wifes of U.S citizens, charge all the paperwork fees let you think all is ok ,and then crush your life, why do they do this to people, are their not laws that protect us from our government misconduct????

i'm so happy we are a nation of big hearted people, put your family on a plane and never see them for 10 years, then tell me how you feel about the system, its so easy to make ugly commints until its you feeling empty inside,no future and a broken dream of happyness,to be treated like a animal by the ones your taxes pay to protect you, is really a bad thing.

The INS has always been a pain in the butt. And after the events of 9/11 - it's even worse.
Contact you local Representatives and get them working for you - this has always been the best solution I have found when the INS collects all of their document fees and then tells you that you forgot to cross a t or dot an i.
Send your representatives a letter and follow it up with phone calls until you get a reply.
It has been my experience that a letter from a senator or congressman to the INS gets a hell of a lot more attention than anything a private citizen can do alone.
As a LAST resort - $$$$ - find a reputable attorney in your area who specializes in INS concerns.
Good luck.

Why do THEY do this to people? Absolutely no guilt on yours or your wife's part is there? She should not have come here illegally in the first place. What can you expect when the law has been willingly broken? We are not the only country who makes illegal aliens leave if they are there illegally. And you, you have been harboring a fugitive from the law. You should be punished and made to leave and go with her.

So, what you wouild like is for your wife to be able to be here in violation of our laws, and for everyone else to just look the other way? I think you have a distored perspective.

The US typically sets certain standards for people to imigrate for a reason. A lot of this has to do with whether or not you will cost the US government more than you contribute in taxes. The US is generous in that we will share prosperity, but we're really not interested in importing poverty.

If your wife is upset, she has herself to blame. There is a legal route to get in, and it does take time. She broke the rules and got caught.

Personally I feel like folks caught here illegally should server prison time and THEN get deported.

It is sad to say, but this is a case where honesty is not the best policy. If she really wanted to stay in the U.S. with you, she should not have given out her illegal information. I know, it makes me sound like I am encouraging law breaking and illegal immigration, but if a person has a really bad situation in her homeland and wants to come to the U.S. and make a better life for herself, who can argue against that? What if her life was in danger in her homeland? Would that make everyone who is quick to judge differently?

Your wife is a very honest person?? I don't think so. Why was she in the US illegally then? Breaking the law is very dishonest.

I'm sorry about your situation. I don't understand, but it seems they have a policy of penalizing people for being honest. I hope tginks work out for y'all eventually! My heart goes out to you and your wife.
