I think it's because the Democrats don't like him, because he's Republican, and the Republicans don't like him because he's too liberal. Is it simply that he's too moderate?
How do you feel?

I think he's the perfect balance... exactly what this country needs to bring it together.
FYI: I'm Independent (socially liberal, economically conservative).

Why do people judge him based on one mistake in his personal life? It in no way affects how good/poor of a president he could be.

Look how good of a job he did with New York. No one could have done better. He had proven that he can handle himself and the country in a state of madness, in which we presently are.

Ok, this is how I see it. The Republicans, if they want any chance at winning the next election, need to run a moderate. The social conservatives block of the party doesn't like his stance on abortion.
He has also supported gun control, another no-no for conservatives. Having said that, I don't see the conflict in Iraq ending anywhere near the election and it will continue to be a major focal point for voters in 2008. Unlike many of the others who are front runners for their respective parties in 2008, Rudy never voted for the war. Yes, he came out and supported it, but the former prosecutor will make sure the public sees a distinction if the runs.

Rudy is an all around American guy. Cheated on his wife and also became Americas hero on 9/11. I like him alot, but there are alot of controversy, with his life. I think the presidency needs to be in the hands of Democrats at this point and time. America needs change. I vote for Obama!!

Most republicans dont know where Giuliani stands on the main social issues. When they find out even more will drop him. He is much too liberal to run as a republican.

for my section, he by no potential incredibly had to be president. too plenty paintings. What he did choose replace into the loose exposure that working for president would provide him, which he would desire to apply to earn added money later on. i think of the alternative to bypass Iowa, NH and SC replace right into a planned one. he's basically too crafty to no longer have familiar what would take place if he did that. possibly he and McCain had an information from the commencing up. His absence certainly helped his chum.

He did a horrible job in NYC, and if it hadn't been for 9-11 he would have slunk away in obscurity as he deserved. (And yes I live in NYC.)
If someone had just shown me his positions and his speeches I would have SWORN he was a Democrat! He's no real Republican in name or stance. He cheated on his wife while in office, didn't have a problem letting people see him do it. The guy's a true slimebag.

After the first World Trade Center bombing, Guiliani was advised NOT to put the command center in the World Trade Center - which he then turned right around and did anyway. And we all saw the result of that decision. That's all I need to know about "America's Mayor."

I think some people believe he handled 9/11 poorly and that he isn't tough enough on illegal immigration

I know he cheated on his wife while he was mayor of New York, and that he just seems too celebrity struck for me to take him serious, but that's just me.

Because he is a liberal. He is pro homosexual, pro abortion and wants to disarm the American people (anti Second Amendment).
There are three reason that I wouldn't consider voting for him.
