I think it was just a bunch of happy people who saw what they wanted to see. I thought it was one of the best 1/2 time shows ever. Believe it or not. I've seen some amazing tours live as well including KISS in 1978, Pink Floyd years later, & Fleetwood Mac among others. I've also been a hard rock drummer for 20 years. Thank's Prince! Purple Rain is one of my favorite songs & Prince is a very gifted musician.

carry forth is son! i understand in my case I ask if something seems good on me or if i glance good because of the fact a million/2 the time i can't tell if something seems hideous on me or no longer. I continuously used to get picked on while i became youthful besides because of the fact i grew up in an area the place anybody became blonde haired and blue eyed, and that i'm italian with incredibly darkish features so I caught out! the primary ladies tore me aside and that i coudln't STAND to look at myself in the mirror. Yuck, darkish, darkish situations. yet even however, those ladies have been merely attempting to make themselves greater safeguard, and that they are the styles of human beings fishing for compliments. heh.

Admittedly, I remember thinking, "Gee, that's pretty phallic", but I didn't go blind.
There's always an element of society that must find something to get worked up about. I found the bruha surrounding the Snickers commercial even more strange.

Yes. I thought the halftime show was terrific! I didn't notice anything weird and neither did all the friends we watched it with. I think people are trying to create controversy where there is none. Prince rocked!

I think that the people who saw a phallic symbol in his shadow ought to take a good hard look at their own way of thinking. I enjoyed listening to his music, especially "Purple Rain" and thought he did a wonderful job.
People who are always looking for the negative in everyone and everything else, seem to be people who are very insecure within themselves. Or perhaps they are trying to justify themselves in their own little worlds by finding fault with those who live outside their version of life. If you are unhappy with yourself, you will try to put others down to make yourself feel better about yourself.
Perhaps if more people would look inside themselves and take responsibility for themselves instead of constantly trying to validate themselves in their own minds, this would be a better world.
Besides, rock and roll has always been looked down upon by fuddy-duddies, as it supposedly preaches "sex, drugs, and rock and roll." Instead of just trying to enjoy life and the diversity of music, they try to find something wrong with those of us who do enjoy it.
