well, the democrats finally took over the house here in iowa and no sooner had they been sworn in and they are wanting to vote to raise taxes..i live close to illinois and read their news as well...same story, raise the taxes..hurts us common folks these damn democrats...

You rarely hear a democrat talk about "raising taxes". But everyday you here a republican talk about "lowering taxes". Your lucky, I presume in Iowa they have a good reason to raise taxes. It will probably end up helping you. However, your short sighted and don't see the long term benefits of higher taxes for a good purpose.

Wake up! We are a poor nation, the only ones that don't seem to realize it are those who feel that because they are not on the streets yet, that we have plenty of money, we don't!
