You rarely hear a democrat talk about "raising taxes". But everyday you here a republican talk about "lowering taxes". Your lucky, I presume in Iowa they have a good reason to raise taxes. It will probably end up helping you. However, your short sighted and don't see the long term benefits of higher taxes for a good purpose.

I agree. If that's not done truthful i visit go away the get collectively likely for good. it would not count if my determination is most suitable or the different man or woman. it really is about the yankee human beings's voices being heard. I despatched am digital mail to the DNC telling them how i trust. I propose others do an same. do not in basic terms sit down in this board and whinge, take action. edited: If McCain wasn't for the conflict, i'd haven't any hassle vote casting for him. This conflict is hurting united statesa. far more effective than something both of the democrats can do. also it take a majority congress to bypass any guidelines besides. The president in basic terms has veto potential that could nicely be overruled by technique of a 2/3 majority. with any success the Senators will examine the expenditures previous to vote casting on them.

Somebody should have been saying it sooner! But this time lets make sure the loop holes the wealthy have are closed so that they get to pay their fair share!
When this nation is so far in debt that we can hardly pay the interest on our debt, your worried about taxes being raised by a % or two?
Wake up! We are a poor nation, the only ones that don't seem to realize it are those who feel that because they are not on the streets yet, that we have plenty of money, we don't!
Taxes must be raised for the welfare of the nation. It's not a choice, it's a must!

finish the sentence it is "raise the taxes.....on the top 1% of the population to even out the tax burden
A careful inspection of the budget using CBO's "The Cyclically Adjusted and Standardized Budget Measures" indicates that when the effects of the economy on federal revenue and expenditures are accounted, the budget deficit is mostly the result of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts. From 2001 to 2005, federal tax receipts, as a percent of the economy, were 0.6% lower than average, and federal outlays were 0.8% lower than average.
What Democrats propose is repealing tax cuts on taxpayers making over $500,000 a year while proposing tax cuts for middle-income families.

Democrats believe in the mythical "rich guy" who will eventually be caught and made to pay his fair share. What they don't get is they continually raise their own taxes making things worse for the middle class who pay 90 percent of the taxes.

Taxes are a way to raise money for the government. They're a necessary part of life. Don't blame the Democrats for everything tax related. It gets old.

Don't worry they only raise taxes on the rich. In other words if you make more than $25,000 per year.
The difference between Republicans and Democrats is the Republicans think every day is the Fourth of July, And the Democrats think every day is April 15th.
