I need something at least 8 gigs but would like 30 gigs because I want to keep all of my music on it. i don't think I will be playing video on it so that is not a problem.

damn, people know nothing about iPods...
just pick which one you like, go to the store, try each one out! I personally have a lot of music, so i use the video, if you like the small black or red 8gig nano, then go for it.
NEVER wait for new iPods to come out, you'll only be dissapointed. don't get an iPod cause you think it makes you look cool, get one cause its an amazing audio player.

I would get the ipod nano.

I jsut use mine for the Gym and its a Shuffle its farely chaeap and small. It holds 250 songs.

the have a ipod that holds liek 40 gigs thats like 400 i think and it holds vids, pics, and well duh nusic!
