"what if?".. hahahhaha!!! as if it's not happening on a daily basis? i'm wondering if you're the same person who asked a question a week or so ago, asking where he could find good pot in Cancun?! Americans use Mexico as their dirty little playground, and then when they get arrested, thrown in jail, etc., the outcries go out, because they're being mistreated. Drugs, smuggling, prostitution, purchasing illegal narcotics... the reason why Mexico is the source of all these illegal activities is greatly related to the American demand for them. Only you don't do it in your countries, you go do it down there, so you can point the finger. Hypocrits!

No matter what country you are in, and no matter what your citizenship, if you break a nation's law, you are subject to whatever punishment that nation determines is appropriate. There have been many US citizens who have broken laws in Mexico -- everything from making an illegal right turn on red up to murder. The US Embassy and Consulates are all too familiar with US citizens who somehow think that they are "immune" from prosecution. For more information, you may want to check out the US Embassy and State Department websites below.

What makes you think Americans don't? I lived there for 10 years and I watched plenty of visitors break the law. Some got in trouble, some didn't. Stereotyping doesn't help any situation.
