Predictable? I don't get it.
If you get 2 lines you're pregant. If the second line doesn't show up, you're not.

Depends on the brand. Do not listen to those who say you get what you pay for. The only time this matters is if it is a normal test or an early test. You will pay more for an early test than a normal one. Tests cost pennies to make and the hike up is really high. Even the dollar store tests are good. try

Well usually you wont get a false POS, but I have seen many many false NEG's Blood tests are the most reliable tests to take if you think you are pregnant....If you get a positive result with a HPT I would say then you are most likely preg.....any NEG results wait a few days and test again or have a blood test done! Good Luck!

very predictable...but I would take two if the first test came up positive. Once with one brand (you got a positive) and then confirm with a different brands' test

pretty good, but always take 2 at least, then go to a doctor if you get 1 or 2 positives. If you get 2 negatives then you're probably in the clear.

Home pregnancy tests can be good to use, although it isn't 100% reliable. If you plan on using one, don't buy a cheap one... buy a name brand one, the results will be more accurate!
Good Luck

Accurate? Very. Check the expiry date on the box before buying it. I also recommend not getting the lowest-priced ones. Quality (and timing) is everything!

Because implantation usually happens 6-12 days after ovulation, it is always possible that early testing will be too soon. Clearblue Easy publishes on its website the following stats: “Clearblue Easy can be used as early at 4 days before you expect your period. That's 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period to test. The amount of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy. In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples, Clearblue Easy gave the following results. 53% of pregnant women get results 5 days sooner. 74% get results 4 days sooner. 84% get results 3 days sooner, 87% get results 2 days sooner.” With their digital test, they say 55% get a positive result 3 days before a woman’s period is due, 87% 2 days before, and 92% one day before. First Response and Answer say “Answer Quick & Simple® Early Result Pregnancy Test can detect the pregnancy hormone as early as 4 days before you expect your period. In clinical testing, Answer® detected the hormone levels in 69% of women 4 days before their expected period, in 83% of women 3 days before their expected period, in 93% of women 2 days before their expected period, and in 93% of women 1 day before their expected period.”

They are very reliable. Even the dollar store ones. The check for the chemical in the urine stream, if detected you are, otherwise you are not.
