How do you convert regular myspace to musician myspace?

I accidentally signed up the regular myspace and can't seem to change it to the musician myspace.

You can't convert... You have to create a new account. My buddy did the same thing... But, he did link his regular account directly to his musician account.

when I first signed up for facebook it required an .edu extension to be a member. I remember that's how I have been given in initially. I nevertheless have that college e mail linked to my profile.
