sorry about my english I´m not from here but my question is about meteorites .
why do we have to wait for meteorites when our planet is made out of the same matter as the universe itself?
don´t we have our own meteorites at home?
are meteorites made of different material worth the search?

Meteorites are composed of the same elements as the earth. However, most earth minerals have been changed through time, and the original minerals have been either altered (by metamorphic processes or by diagenetic processes) or remelted entirely, so that the original mineral or original structure has been erased.

Not so meteorites. They have not undergone such transformations, and are taken to be a fair representation of the original "stuff" of which the planets formed. Most are far older than the oldest "stuff" we can age on the surface of the earth. So, the very age of the meteorites is of importance in understanding the solar system.

Incidentally the term "meteor" came about because meteors were long though to be something the atmosphere itself caused. At that time it was thought ludicrous that rocks fell from the sky. It was only comparatively recently (I believe the 18th century, in France) that rocks were proven to fall from the sky. The science called meteorology comes from the same idea..it has to do with climate, weather, and the atmosphere, not "meteors."

A meteoroid is any small dust or rock in space. When it hits the earth's atmosphere it is called a meteor as it falls and, if it survives the fall to earth, it is called a meteorite. Therefore, by definition, meteorites can not be of earthy origin.

When we enter the tail of a comet it causes meteor showers, commonly called falling stars. Even when we are not going through a comet's tail there is still a lot of debris in outer space and you can usually see several meteors each night.

Because dust and rocks do not escape the earth's gravity, we do not cause meteorites. Meteorites are as old as the beginning of the solar system and by studying them scientists can tell what the early solar system was like.

Meteroites are from space, so they contain materials from the time the solar system was formed 4.5 billion years ago.
The earth has been changed over those billions of years because of volcanic activity and life, so meteorites are more like the early solar system than anything on earth.

yes they are composed of many different minerals, do you understand why we call them meteorites? Because we can not produce meteorites on earth

Earth's surface has changed a lot over the last 4.5 billion years - due to erosion, volcanic activity, etc. As a result, most of the rocks on Earth are quite young. In contrast, rocks in space (asteroids, meteoroids) are as old as the solar system itself - 4.5 billion years. Since they are so old, they tell us how Earth has changed over the years.
