Just you have to tell her that she has to listen to you. Write down some supporting facts to help you case and a speech. It took me a long time to get my mom to let me shave. Are you underarms hairy, that's a good one to throw at her. I wouldn't go behind her back, because you don't want her doing that to you and my mom got really pissed when I started shaving behind her back. Also, once you start you never want to really shave it's kind of annoying. Sit her down and tell her this is important to you and it makes you feel a little left out and wird.-FC

my daughter is 10 and has started shaving her legs. I wouldnt bother tellin her..if you are 13 then u should definetly be shaving by now. Is mom actually going to check your legs and areas to see if u have shaved? You should be able to talk to you mom but if not then i would go ahead and do it so you are more comfortable at school and in your sports.

Your mom is being unrealistic. Perhaps she can't face it that you're growing up.

Just get your own razor and start shaving yourself. Most girls start by the time they're 13 or 14 depending on their growth rate. I started when I was 12 on my own without asking my mom (she was okay with it after).

It's not necessary to shave any part of your body. In fact, if you lived in Europe, it would extremely strange if you did so.

The trick about this, the only trick about our bodies, is learning to love ourselves both for who we are and for what we are.

Well, you could always do what I did - just take one of her razors and start shaving!

i have to agree wiht kris. she cannot make you grow hairy legs. its your body. if you want to shave then its your decision. just do it and dont let her know and when and if she finds out just say you have been doing it for months.

Ask her really kindly and if she says no again, then just do it by yourself and let her figure it out eventually.
