He is only half black. Why is his white half being ignored?

There are no entitlements or prestige for being a half-white person, you have to go with your black half to get ahead, then you become a "minority" with all its rewards.

Because we never had a black president and even if he is mixed the general public consider him black. We never had a woman president or a president that wasn't white. It's a big deal to Republicans.

Blame it on good old American racism. It's always been that way in the USA: if you were partly black, you were black. Period. It didn't matter how much white blood you had, you were discriminated against because of your black ancestry. So the fact that a partly-black politician can be popular with whites as well as blacks is an important step forward.

we have not had a black guy (there is no half black, the difference is, rich black or pore black, he is a rich one), a women or a Jew as president, so in this case I vote for Giuliani

I don't know what the big deal is either...so what if he has black in him?? The question is: Can he run our country? I'm so sick of the media going nuts over people who are the 1st blacks to do this or to do that...same with any other culture....who cares what color we are?

His color doesn't bother me, him wanting to completely change our government scares me. I like being in a democratic free society. A complete turn around cant be good.
