Colt made an official announcement that he will not be entering the draft for 2007 and will be playing his last year at the University of Hawaii (UH). Your question does say "next year" and that is very clear.

His place in the 2008 draft remains to be seen. Typically, UH players are not taken too high in the draft. I would use former UH QB Tommy Chang as only one example. Tommy had stellar numbers not only at UH but the entire NCAA as well and could not land a job with many a NFL team.

Even if Colt has a great year next year, he might not be the first QB to be picked. Yes, he has great overall numbers but Chad Henne of Michigan could go before him and I think Brain Brohm of Louisville elected to stay this year in school and could go ahead of Colt as well.

In the end, with a solid year, Colt could be the #3 or #4 QB in the 2008 draft but I know the guy can play.

you mean in 2008? Cause he's staying at Hawaii his senior year.
I think that even if he has a great year next year I don't see him being the first QB chosen because he plays in a weak 1A conference and he looks kind of small to be an NFL QB

i think of Tebow is the ideal decision. i think of it relies upon on Florida's success this year. in the event that they end stable with a achieveable identify shot, he's long previous. you apart from mght would desire to seem on the way he's going for use this year. they certainly have some RB's which will see greater of the snaps. final year Tebow have been given beat up via his many rush tries. As for the NFL, i'm uncertain how he will do via fact his playing form isn't for each team.

It's Brennan, and no Russell will go number 1 to the Raiders...Brennan might stay in school, and many coaches still think he's a product of the system so he won't be first next year either.

No, and by next year you mean 2008 right? Not this one? Nothing against him but he has Brohm to compete with for sure. Then you take the schools and look which gets alot more attention.
