I would plan a special evening together. Most guys I know aren't so much into gifts for special occasions. Make a romantic dinner at your house with wine and candles. If you have nice weather, plan a nice picnic in a park or by a lake. You two can go to a couples session at a spa. Those can be very romantic. Just find something special to do together.

The perfect gift is just something he would like. If you go to sleep in a Tshirt and boxers everynight, put on some sexy lingerie before you go to sleep on Valentine's day. He will love it. Cook him dinner, get him some beers. Guys are simple. A nice bottle of scotch- or whatever he drinks will also suffice. He doesn't want chocolates or candy, he wants to see you in sexy lingerie when his belly is full of the delicious dinner you cooked him.

if you can, make a great dinner YOURSELF, make something that he loves! fix the table beautiful and set a romantic environment without getting to cheessy... just simple and elegant, some candles, good wine, good food and a great dessert! at the end of dinner give him a card and frame with a picture of the two of you or a book if he likes to read. Think about a great conversation and dont try too hard... just enjoy, his best gift is sharing a great dinner with you and YOU!
