I am a fairly smart person (if I may so so myself). I just find that dumb people really irritate me. Just wondering if many people share that sentiment.

Yes! I like to think of myself as an intelligent, mature girl. I absolutely cannot stand the dumb, immature people who seem to populate my school. (evidently, everyone is going through some immature teenage stage). The worst are the people who are both immature and dumb. I know what you mean!!

Most certainly so! It drives me to the point I can't stand to be around them....stupid people annoy the hell out of me...oddly not so much strangers but members of my own family...ppl i have to deal with regularly so I am subjected to their moronic membranes make me just want to slap them upside the head!!! Especially my husband. The other day, while holding the cordless IN HIS HAND....he couldnt find the cordless phone. He kept pushing the page button at the base and kept walking around saying "I hear it but I can't find it!" And I guess I can't be too smart for marrying him lol!

I don't consider myself Smart. But I do enjoy intelligent conversations. Ones, that make me think, analyze and learn.
Being in conversation with somebody who does not spark that with me does not irratate me as much as bore me.
Now, stupidity irritates me. Example, not making your child wear a seat belt.
Okay, I know I'm babbling I hope that doesn't make me sound dumb

i guess i'm smart (people have told me that i am, i think i'm just average), but being around dumb people doesn't annoy me. not everyone is born intelligent or smart. it's the people with no common sense that gets on my nerves!

Its people who lack common sense that get on my nerves the most. However.., its our own character defect and not any fault of theirs. They can not help it...we can. But yea..it is frustrating.
