With all due respect to guitarists, a necessary component to modern bands, why do women find guitarists so much more attractive than the other musicians? Case in point: drummers need more arm strength and energy to do all they do...but I'm biased. So please explain why, or if you prefer a different musician let me know.

In my opinion, playing the guitar to a woman is like the equivalent of singing to her. Not to mention the guitar produces a beautiful sound. Sure drummers need more strength and energy, but would you beat on a drum in romantic candle light on a date? Guitar playing is much more intimate, thus more attractive to the ladies. It's a total turn on :D

I think that guitarists generally get the most attention because they are normally the frontmen of the bands -- they are the singers, they are the ones doing the interviews, they are the ones who stand in front on stage, they are the ones who are featured on the album covers.
Personally, before I got married (to a guitarist) I dated guitarists, bassists, and a drummer (as well as a guy that plays trumpet). They are all great guys who are very talented, and I admire what they do.

I have respect for any musician out there. I have always wanted to learn to play the drums. I think their rythem is hot. I love the guitarist but you have to really keep up as a drummer. I envy anyone who can do it. Send me lessons =) lol

I like musicians period. Whether you play guitar, piano, drums, bass or you sing. As long as you are good at it, it is attractive. Guitarists might get more attention in general because like someone else said, they are usually also the lead singers and most of the time are the song writers (that is not always the case, of course).

Well , You (the drummer) may need more arm strength, but I (the guitarist) can do some special little things with my fingers, and THAT's the answer to your question! LOL!

A LOT of guitarists are generally rather attractive (Ray Toro sadly doesn't win these stakes) For example the gawjus Frankie Iero,the verrrrrryy attractive rhythmic guitarist of my chemical romance.
I don't know what it is, guitarists are generally the most attractive members of a band, and bassists are hot too. (PETE WENTZ)

I don't find guitarists any hotter than other members of bands. it depends on what they look like more than what instrument they play. eg: the drummer from The Kaiser Chiefs is really hot.

Most definitely prefer drummers. Maybe mainstream girls prefer guitarists because they normally sing lead.
