Dogs are more affectionate and loyal, they actually WANT to spend time with you while cats are affectionate but not loyal and would roll over on their backs if that would intice you to pet them. All in all it depends, if you want a clean animal that looks after itself and wants to snuggle every now and then cats are better, but if you like playing with a dirty, dependent lovable animal then dogs are...depends

I have both dogs and cats and I love them very much. My cats are loving to me, but my dogs are just loving all the time. So I guess that I like dogs better.

I have both cats and dogs, but I prefer a dog. The dog is very loyal and loving and will stay beside you no matter what. Everyone knows the attitude a cat has :P They come to you when they want, not when you want them. They do what pleases them, not you. I do love my cats, but dogs will always be best to me.

dogs, bcuz they're loyal, smart, protective, loving, and need you, but cats can survive on their own, and it makes me think they don't need me!! :(
