Its all about taste and looks.
White could be seen as the new minimalist colour as you see many tv's, DVD players being white or silver, however the new ipod black is showing a revolution in colour.
But if you like to stick to the classic iPod colour, go for white, if you want to be sexy and feel new, go for black, its all your choice, its the same specifications, just different colour.

I have the black one and tell you the truth it gets scratched very easily. You can really see all the little scratches and wear marks. I have personally had mine in a very soft and safe case for it all this time and it still looks terrible. I'm thinking the white one, if it is as non-scratch resistant as the black one you will see it a lot less. I personally like the color black but I would ask around to some people with the white one and see if they have the same problem. Looks like they didn't spend the extra money on making it scratch resistant. Good luck.

get the black that way if dirt or anything gets on it the dirt would be hard to see

get the black and if your worried about it getting scratches borders has some awsome covers!
