Take some Sleeping Pills so you can sleep the pain off, then, the next day, lay down with a pillow under your head while playing.
Unless its a WII, then you only play it for like an hour at maximum, then you rest until your completly rested, and you play for another hour at max. Repeat until bored or you have to do something else.

First find a comfortable position to play your video games in where your neck is in a natural position and your back is supported before playing again.
Second, do slow stretches before and after playing
Third, don't play for extended periods of time
For your current pain...take an asprin and get a good nights sleep.

I can only think your neck is sore because you got to into the game, sometimes if your really into a game it can cause you to tense up, which will make your muscles sore, my suggestion is to just not play the game anymore and relax and give your neck time to heal

You should try a heating pad, one of those sticky ones that stays on for a couple of hours. If that doesn't work go see a chiropractor. Those guys can work wonders...

same thing happen to me. massage bengay on it and the pain is gone.
the pains will only happen once, and you can play with no worries.
If it happens again, then go see a doctor.
