If you live near the Bay Area, try San Francisco. They have thousands of little shops that sell that type of stuff.
Don't go to large chain stores. All of their stuff is new and sometimes really expensive (Sometimes...).
Basically try any small store that you can only hear of through word-of-mouth. They're difficult to find but worth it.

if your talking cheap, then walmart, if your talking good quality then american eagle, aeropostale, wet seal, abercrombe and fitch, hollister, etc.
