I don't mean rent an appartment...if you are going to live with someone that already has a house/appartment how old do you have to be without parent consent?

You can get emancipated when your 16 I think. Your parents can suck and not let you leave until your 18 however but if they don't suck move out right now!

Kevin~~~~ have it on good advice that a person can move out and be on their own when they are 17...not 16 or 18.....you are considered and adult in Michigan when you are 17. hope it helps

Generally, to rent an apartment, sign legal documents, etc. you will have to be at least 18 years old.
