It's like a child who keeps forgiving his father for abusing him, because he's too dependent of his father. Now I know why women stay with very abusive boyfriends or husbands.

Or like Stockholm's syndrome.
The Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in an abducted hostage, in which the hostage exhibits loyalty to the hostage-taker, in spite of the danger (or at least risk) in which the hostage has been placed. Stockholm syndrome is also sometimes discussed in reference to other situations with similar tensions, such as battered person syndrome, rape cases, child abuse cases, and bride kidnapping

No, but a side effect of the syndrome is asking the same question over and over

I think much of it has to do with their lust to be in absolute control of the government- The Republicans have forsaken their 'principles' long ago- remember when they once championed the ideals of fiscal responsibility and small government? They are now the most irresponsible spenders in history, and have expanded government waste more than any past American government.
So Bush is their leader- what he says goes- never mind that many of his edicts contradict when Republicans claim to believe in- never mind that many of his policies are illegal-
The Republicans in Washington are yes men to Bush because they want power...
As for voters who support Bush, they fall in 5 categories
(1) The ignorant (they have no understanding of American history or foreign policy, and just blindly accept what they see on FOX news. These people lack intellectual curiosity.
(2) The bigots (they hate Mexicans, gays, blacks and Arabs)
(3) The psychotic (They love seeing Iraqi families butchered-
these psychos are the mentally ill, people like Michael savage, who seriously favor public executions of liberals))
(4) The religious zealots (The Christo- fascists believe Bush is somehow a messenger of God)
(5) The nationalists. (they have a pathological distrust of any other nation, and assert America- and Americans are superior to all others on this planet. They react violently if their views are challenged)

We are open to plausible solutions. I agree that force will not get the Iraqis to work together. As long as outside agitator needle both sides into fighting, they will advance into civil war. Lebanon uses to be the show place of the Middle East. Back in the 70's they chose to have a civil war. Everyone LOST. Yugoslavia held the Olympics in Sarajevo, creating a beautiful area. When it broke up age old animosities boiled over into civil war. Again everyone Lost. Today the World Press needs to challenge the Iraqis to show that they had grown past the end of the movie Lawrence of Arabia. They have the intellect. The US & the coalition have given them the choice. I doubt the Jihadist have the faith in their movement to allow peace to happen. They intent to keep the little people fighting amoungs themselves so that the few can rank in the wealth. The little guys could make the wealth for themselves if they refuse to get caught up in the trap setup be the few.

Lets ask this.......why did all the liberals continue defending Clinton......at least Bush went after the terrorist.....Clinton let them in....he turned his back on this country while getting himself
satisfied. He sent our troops into Bosnia, what did Bosnia do to us? Nothing, The dictator there was killing innocent men women and children there too....did he have WMD's no, did Bosnia attack us....did they send terrorist over here to kill our innocent men women and children....no.....they did noting to us.....but Clinton sent our troops there....because their dictator was killing innocent men women and children.....just like Saddam .... so whether Adham had WMD's or not he still needed to be taken out. so all you ppl stop being hypocritical, because it is the very same thing.

You are being a little dramatic. He is president for one more year, no matter what you say about him. I don't know if I agree with everything he does, but you have to make do with what you have. And if you really want change, then do something about it! I mean it seems like liberals are always talking about what they could do instead of DOING IT. Don't complain until you have been in his shoes. Try running a country, then call me about it.

Typical ole Lib, just cant see the full picture about how a Country is run.... Loyalty is an American trait, you should try it sometime, its people like you who give the term "American" a bad name, and the terrorists ammunition to think we are so divided that they could win!

Bush took you hostage?
I believe you can still move out of America. Maybe Cuba, or Iran, or Venezula would like you.

Because they are as ignorant as he is. He literally has the lowest approval ratings of any president ever, and both houses of Congress have just swung to the left. Has anybody noticed this? Given that this is the message of the people, when is the right going to realize that they just might be wrong?
