First off ..yes they can be applied to non-existent nails. What you do is go and ask for a full-set , (that is what it is called when you get all ten nails completely done). It will cost between $25 and $50 dollars..depends on length and designs you may want to get. I would say keep the length short until you adjust to doing everyday tasks. In 2 to 4 weeks, you will need a fill-in. Typically $15to $25. Do that until your natural nails are at your desired length and then begin to get your nails wrapped in fiberglass. It will cost a litle more but is totally worth it if you want fabolous nails .

Yes, a lot of people get them for that reason; their nails are short because they are constantly biting them. While acrylics may help you stop biting your nails, they cost about 30-60 dollars for a set depending on where you go. The price range is pretty huge, but remember that you usually get what you pay for with salons. Just because a place offers services for real cheap doesn't mean they'll do a great job or have good hygiene practices (eek!). They last anywhere from 2 weeks to a couple of months depending on how fast your nails grow; you'll want to get them filled when they grow out too much. The cost can really start piling up after a while though, and remember that when you get them off your nails will be really weak and damaged for a while!

Acrylic nails are pretty bad for your nail health. If you do get them but don't want them for an extended period of time (like you want to eventually grow out your natural nail) make sure you use an acetone artificial nail remover or it will break, peel, and severely damage your natural nail.

You're looking at spending between $25 and $60 for the full set. You'll need to get them filled about every 2-3 weeks, and that will be around $10-$15 per session. Make sure you go to a reputable nail salon. Settling for a cheap salon can mean really damaged nails and possible infection, so be careful.

If you want your nails to grow well, start taking vitamins (prenatal vitamins are wonderful) and they'll start to grow long and strong. Also, your hair will eventually get stronger with the vitamins!

If your tring to grow your nails out you may want to try a good nail strenghtener and vitamins to help them grow. You will be able to grow them out with acrylic nails with good maintenance. You may can try even a gel or acrylic overlay that is applied over your nail without the nail tip but same up keep is needed on them. But when they are removed they will be weak and more than likely break and you will be right back where you started. Just out all the money you spent on the acrylic nails.

Yes, they can be put on short nails, they last a long time, only that you have to refill them like every two weeks, and that way you can let your real nails grow. A set of nails cost approximate 32 dols

Yes they can be put on really short nails, but have to be refilled about every two weeks or so. They look really good and dont break, the only bad part would be that its bad for your nails, and if you dont get them refilled every two weeks they can break off, and take a couple layers of your nail with it. The price runs from 30-40.
