I am looking for a good book to learn VBA. I am very proficient in using Access 2003 and am able to write complex queries, create forms and reports, and set up macros. I have a programming background in BASIC (PDS) and Btrieve database software, so I understand the basics of programming: data types, if/else, do loops, initializing variables, etc.

I am looking for advice as to the best book to purchase to learn VBA for Access 2003 with my current skill level since there's so many to choose from. Help is appreciated.

I haven't personally seen the version 2003 books, but in the past, I've gotten a couple that I thought were decent:

Mastering Microsoft Office Access by Allison Balter
Microsoft Access Bible (by ??)

The best thing is to go to a bookstore and just browse through them yourself. I've found Borders to have a good selection.

Look for a book that emphasizes application development and programming. Having a programming background in BASIC is a good start, but programming in Access is object-based, which is a whole new ballgame. To become really proficient, you'll need to become familiar with the object model for Access.

Also, I highly recommend www.utteraccess.com, which is an Access forum. A lot of Access experts are available for help there and it's a great place to get examples.

Good luck!

because you get documents populated with basically one table, for sure the relationship to the database is operating, so the problem must be in the question. attempt redefining the kin between the 4 tables as express the position clauses quite of utilising inner connect ON clauses and be conscious if that makes any large difference - at the same time as the latter is effective at the same time as basically 2 tables are worried, having 3 or more beneficial in contact makes the precise order each and each and every inner connect is defined major. (besides the undeniable fact that, if some are OUTER joins, that is not any longer the type of trouble-free fix.)
