If you are friends at work, then yes if it comes up. If you just talk every now and then I wouldn't bring it up unless he was talking bad about her for some reason, then I would just say something like "I'm dating her so I wish you would keep these comments to yourself around me." But if they have been divorced for three years it probably wouldn't even be an issue unless they have kids that keep them in contact.

NO, why should u? He is nothing to u and nothing to her anymore. There is no need in doing that. Its been 3 years. Its over and a thing of the past. We all have one, just so happens u are faced with your ex's past at work. No big deal.

I disagree with other comments. First, it depends on if they had children together. If they did, they are still linked for years to come.
People are sensitive to gossips. Her X might wonder what she tells you about him, which affects his reputation at work.
Man to man, a courteous heads up at the very beginning removes problems in the future. Say, you met his X wife on a social occasion and gauge his reaction. He is unlikely gonna give you any blessing but at least watch out of negative reactions.

Nah, it is none of his business who you are with. Would he care if they are divorced. Too many people have to go around talking to your ex-husband/wife about one another. What is your point in exactly telling him about her? Is it any of his business now? Just let him be, to me it would fuc_ing annoy me for people to be discussing my ex when it is a free country and he can date anyone he chooses from now on!
What would the purpose be in telling him, you want his blessing or curse?
