I am a redhead and I'm looking to buy a dress for Military Ball but it's very difficult to find a color that looks decent with my fair skin and red hair. What, in your opinion, is an appropriate color? I saw a red dress but thought it might clash? My hair is a natural dark red shade.

As a man with 3 sisters who are all reds.
DON'T GET RED!
With fairly pale skin (the redhead white skin with little freckles that come and go!) you don't really want a deep colour as you will look even paler.
The others have suggested green and I agree.
You obviously know the style you'll want but not colour.
Find a local store and go through EVERY rail to find 'green'.
Theres dark, mid and light.
There are more shades than you think and even some of them may 'wash out' your complexion.
When you've found the dress you want in the colour you want.
Get some 'Dress' jewellery that appears to be Gold and Emerald.
My sisters did and they looked stunning! Don't forget, I'm the brother so I wont fib about it!

I'm getting ready for a Military ball as well, and I too have darker red hair and light skin. I bought a pretty gold satin dress, and I'm making a dark brown satin wrap. Another color that always looks good with fair hair and light skin is green. Many shades of green look very pretty, and green is really hot right now (in my humble opinion!)

I would think a dark royal or sapphire blue or emerald green. No pink or red. Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives wears alot of green and blue dresses on the red carpet and looks great.

Yeah. i have read hair too. Do not get a red dress!!! I think that green usually looks really good with red hair. Dark blue is pretty good too. Well, have fun at the ball.

A plum purple...
If you chose the purple dress, wear gold stappy shoes, gold dangely earings, a gold bracelet or watch...
A peach lipstick would go nice and a rosy blush would go nice too....
Some green/beige-ish eyeshawdsow would look soooo nice with your fair skin....Hope I helped!

try jewel tones like dark purple or bright blue. It really brings out the hair color and makes you glow!

Royal blue, emerald green in particular but pretty much any colour except pastels.
A scarlet red will be fine if you accessorise with black!

any form of eco-friendly... the darker the greater effective. Teal seems extremely good... black seems good on all of us.tan seems incredibly good cuz it makes ur dermis look darker and purple hears tend to be lighter skined
