in the dictionary, a nerd is a person who finds it difficult to make friends, is somewhat strange or very intelligent about a certain subject, for example, I'm considered to be a bit of a military nerd as I know a heck of a lot about the military, but, I don't find it difficult to make friends nor am I considered strange either.
