Very untrue. I work with a couple of Muslim ladies and they are always clean. They even have a specified order of washing the body, if I'm not mistaken they should wash three times on each side. Cleanliness is very important to them, as mentioned by the other people who answered here.
Why don't you ask someone who is Muslim? I've asked the ladies I work with many questions and they are willing to answer. Just ask respectfully, as you would any other person. Learning about other cultures is the only way tolerance towards each other will ever grow - not by believing everything you hear.

Muslim people shower everyday. They actually believe that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Don't believe everything you hear or even read. Ask a Muslim questions regarding their beliefs and practices if you want to know the truth.

No, most of them are clean. But in their culture, a lot of them don't wear any deodorants or anti-perspirants. That may be what people are talking about.
