I swear, it's like he's on premium dope. I thought he might be a bit silly on the stuff, but it's like he's been infected by Barry White. He's in love with everything , and man is he happy!!!!!! Is this normal? Do other cats have different reactions? Like what? It's really quiet interesting!

Yes it is normal. Don't worry about kitty. Catnip to cats is like alcohol to humans. He gets a buzz from it and feels "so fine" for a short time then gets very sleepy.
Don't fret though he can't be harmed by it. It is safe for kitty no matter how much he eats.Infact it is good for cats to help with digestion and hair balls.

This is a normal reaction for cats to catnip. They are usually also sexually aroused by it. Nothing to worry about. My cat, while alive, used to act in all sorts of weird ways with catnip.

I've heard that they really like it......but my cats were never interested so I can't really tell you if it's normal.

most cats act that way, and very few actually dislike it...The cats who dislike it just roll in it versus eating it
