It's perfectly normal. Like you said, as long as it's not red or swollen it's not an infection. When you wash your hair, make sure you wash around your earring too. This will prevent the small buildup of crust that happens around earrings. If it's not already, it helps to wear solid gold. I always got more crust if it was a non-gold metal like silver, surgical steel, gold plated, gold filled, really anything that wasn't at least 14k.

Although several people have responded saying this is normal, it should not be taken lightly. It is always a sign of infection! Though it may be short-lived because you body's immune system takes care of it, it is also possible for it to get worse and affect your entire blood stream which can be a life threatening condition. The most common cause of infection comes from germs on earrings or on your hands. Be sure that you clean earrings with peroxide before putting them in and always wash your hands before handling them.

I had your same problem. Don't worry about it.

The piercing broke our skin, it's healing. However, the ear has kinda poor bloody supply so it takes longer than other parts to heal. Every now and then, when you change your earring, tugged it when removing your clothes or even juz sleep on it wrong, it'll open the still healing wound inside. If it's dirty, it'll pus, but I think what you're referring to is juz some slight yellow dried debris?? That's plasma, it's cool.

So you can set your heart at ease now.
=D

It's natural, for sure. If it was infected, it would start bleeding and your ear will probably get a little swollen (if that happens, take out your earring immediatly and put on disinfecting cream). You should take out your earrings when your taking a shower so that the puss doesn't get stuck on your earring.

It's fine,i mean i have 7 piercings in each ear and when i did them it was red but that is only because my ears hadn't gotten use to it and the pus is normal.
Like i said you just pierced your ears not to long ago so you ear hasn't gotten use to it.Oh,and when you wash your hair or something make sure you take out your earring cuz the earring will get all groddy like all rusty and stuff, but if they are real gold or silver than you don't have to take them out.only if they are not real.=-)
hope this helped you.and good luck!!!

It is completely normal, don't shower with earrings in and clean your ear and your earrings once a week with peroxide. This will keep the risk of infection down. Hope This Helps!

Pus is the main sign of infection, if that doesn't get treated, that will spread on your entire system, get a betadine or something to disinfect, while you still can... =)

Heat the pericing to 230 degrees farehiet and place it back into your ear. If that dosnt work, have a raccoon lick you ear more so it turns a slimy brown, yellow, and green. It will probably look and taste like buggers! Yummy!

it could be that your allergic to the earrings or it could be a shampoo build up if you don't take them out when you shower
