Two cards are delt to everyone who is playing. These cards are yours and yours alone. After you get your cards, a round of betting will occur, this is known as "the blind" after betting, the three cards are layed down face up, this is a community pot that everyone can use to make their best hand of five cards, this round is called the flop. More betting will commence. After the round of betting is over another card is layed down face up, this is called the turn. Now there are 4 cards in the middle + your 2 cards to make your best 5 card hand. After this round of betting, a final card is layed down face up called the river. Now there are 5 community cards that anyone can use + the two cards that you have already to make the best 5 card hand you can make. There is one more round of betting than the cards are shown the player with the best hand takes all the money.
