My friend said there are no pretty black girls at school and I'm black...she asked me if I aggreed and I said well there's one girl(well just call her D) and she said well D is the prettiest black girl at school...now a lot of guys have called me hot white guys black guys pretty much every type, or asked for my number I'm only 14 but people think I'm older so guys even 25 years old have tried to pick me up...thing is my friends never seen it so she's not like jealous of me...does she think I'm ugly?? And was that bitchy of her to say??(she's white by the way not black)

Wow!!! With a friend like that who needs enemies? I would call her on it!! Or next time she makes a commit like that I would say " present company excluded of course." Making her aware of how her comment could be taken offensively. I wouldn't worry though, the most important thing is that you know you are beautiful, inside and out, no matter what she has to say. Sometimes we all say dumb things without thinking of what it is coming off like. I bet 100% that she was not including you in her statement. Blessings

Some times people say things without really thinking about it, you know what I mean? She might have excluded you from the statement in her mind because she was talking to you. I bet if you asked her about it, she'd tell you that she believes your pretty.
If she tells you flat out that she thinks your ugly, I have to give her props for honesty, but with a friend who demeans you like that what do you need enemies for?

Her opinion of pretty might be different from your opinion of pretty for one. If she wasn't your "friend" I would say she almost sounds kind of racist. No wait, that WAS racist. I am sure there are beautiful black girls at your school, you being one of them. Why should she care if they are pretty any how, unless she is bi. She is probably just jealous she can't be as pretty as you. Who needs friends like that anyways As you get older, you will learn who your true friends are.

It sounds to me like she may be jealous of you and doesn't want to give you a compliment. How petty! I'm glad you said something to her. If she makes comments like that again, I wouldn't consider her a friend. Nobody needs friends like that!

i dont think it was nice of her to go up to you and tell you that there are no hot black people when you are right there!!! that was kinda bitchy of her. that is really kool that u sorta stood up for yourself. you should tell her that you are a hot black girl and that you should of been kooler about the situation.

maybe she is jealous...i think that most girls have a hard time telling their friends that they are pretty because if they know that you ARE prettier than them, they think that you will get a HUGE ego and stop being their friend.
