If you use it fairly quickly any type of covered non-reactive container will do. I use a plastic garbage can. Be sure you get one that doesn't smell too strongly of plastic (a rubbermaid I think is good). I marked the inside of mine with gallon levels so I could see at a glance how much water was in the can at any given time. I also made a small hole in the top to run the tube from the R/O unit into the can and allow some air to escape as the can filled. I have used this set up for years with no ill effects.
A fair sized power head with a tube attached can pump the water out for you. plug it into a remote controlled power on/off switch (available online) and you can turn it on and off from across the room.
Hope this helps

How much are you wanting to store at a time?
I use five gallon buckets and the lids to store the R/O water that I use. I usually have 4 or 5 filled at a time. I have a 50 gallon marine tank, so two of them I have mixed with salt and aerated until I use them for water changes.
I don't think it really matters on where you store them, but I'm sure a cool, dark place would be best, especially if you plan to store it for a while.
If you have a large quantity that you want to store, you may want to look into getting a storage/transport tank. They are big, plastic tanks(anywhere from 50 gallons up to 500+ gallons). Just make sure they're safe for drinking water. The only problem with those tanks, is their size as for where to store them, and moving them if you ever wanted.

hi Little! Oh boy, i respect questions like this! For starters, sounds like you receive each little thing, yet have you ever cycled the tank? i comprehend it really is a discomfort, yet there are bacteria and different organisms that help shop the water interior the tank from getting complete of ammonia and different volatile issues that ought to kill your fish. you should purchase cultures at any puppy keep for "fishless cycling", or some human beings get a "judas fish" like a feeder, and factors it back or feed it to some different person's snake or turtle even as the cycling procedure is done. in case you do not cycle the tank, you will get "new tank syndrome" that is largely a bacterial bloom, and the toxins interior the tank will spike to deadly stages. In different words, your fish will be toast! in the experience that your tank is cycled, you are able to flow ahead and upload the fish you want. With tropical fish remember, one inch of complete GROWN fish in line with gallon of water, so in case you get, say, a Clown loach, remember that even nonetheless they are purely a pair inches lengthy interior the puppy shop, they advance as a lot as 1/2 a foot lengthy! Thermometers are not needed in the experience that your water heater comes with a dial pointing out the tiers, yet maximum folk have them in basic terms in case. in the experience that your water heater does not have this placing, then definite, you want one to make sure out how warmth your heater is determined to, and regulate it consequently. same with stay flora, they are efficient, and may supply extra oxygen, yet they are tougher to maintain than their plastic opposite numbers. that's quite as a lot as you. If it is your first tank, i quite do not propose it. same is going for water attempting out kits, all Petco and Petsmart shops do it for loose, all you do is usher in a baggie of water. you should purchase your own attempting out kits in case you would quite not stress each few weeks to get your water examined, yet they are regularly slightly expensive. i wish i have helped!

I use some 5 gal jugs that go on water coolers. They have the handles and are very easy to handle. Get the ones with a screw-on cap.
