Hi,
I'm not so sure that my idea works on cotton but it sure won't hurt to try.
Just take an ice cube and rub it over the wax.
I have used this method many times but never on cotton.
I hope it helps though. Good luck.

Maybe you can take paper towel, put in on the wax and with a warm iron apply softly for a few seconds, and then remove as much as you can with a dull knife. if the wax is soft from the heat of the iron, you should be able to get it all out, Just make sure you put a clean piece of paper towel each time.

Take some folded paper towels and lay it over the wax.Run a fairly warm iron over the paper towel. The towel will absorb the wax.Keep turning the towel over, and running the iron over it until no wax appears on the towel. If the wax was colored, the dye will remain, but the wax will be gone.

This is kind of like batiking. We did this in high school where we purposely "painted" wax onto cloth to batik. Anyway, to get the wax back out of the cloth, we used layers of newspapers (top and bottom) and ironed it, turning the paper until all the wax was absorbed. Try that and see! Good luck!

Lay shirt on a flat surface, place a paperbag over area. Take a warm iron and apply it, then scrape off the wax gently. Or use ice cubes to area.

positioned the sweatshirt interior the freezer to harden the wax. positioned a paper bag over the wax and iron the paper bag. flow the bag so as that a sparkling (no wax) area is over the wax. Repeat till the wax is long previous. Launder as huge-unfold.

Put one piece of cotton over the spot and one under; iron it. That might work if you can't get it cold enough to crack it off.
