Biotin is part of the Vitamin B family and in no way can replace the daily multiple.

Biotin is a B vitamin and has specific functions. you need to take multivitamins because nobody eats a perfect diet. Anyway biotin is a water soluble vitamin which means extra is excreted in the urine so you don't get toxicity. so if your multivitamin also has biotin it is okay.

If your multi has biotin, you don't need take extra. Unless, otherwise, for any reason you need to take extra biotin.
