Yeah, we were invaded five times...and five times they failed. A point in history class that all of us loved to learn about, and feels so good repeating.
Should we be concerned? Probably. But if they want something from us, we should ensure that we get the better of the deal somehow. And if they do try to try something with us, I'm pretty sure there will be more countries on our side than on theirs!

Canada should be worried as Iraq was invaded for oil.
However invading Canada would be hard to justify to the rest of the world and your army is much stronger and larger than Iraq's or the Talibans so the war would be much harder for them to win.
I would put the border under ultra-heavy guard if I was in charge of Canada's army though

Seriously.... But wait if global warming works out right then ya we could invade there will be alot less tundra and actually some good land. As it stands we would have to take over Canada and Quebec (the break away republic), give American medical care to a socialist system (which would bankrupt us worse than we are already) or face large scale rebellion. Actually wouldn't we be giving Canada their democracy since they still have the Queens picture up everywhere??

A definite NO! Canada & England are our best friends, we would never, ever abuse that friendship! We will try to buy that oil but we won't invade their country to get it. We may get a bit peeved if they sell to another country, but will learn to live without it.

You present an interesting dilemma. It is conceivable the United States would invade, and occupy, Canada for its oil wealth. But since Canada is a Commonwealth country, and the United Kingdom is the United States' lap dog, it is probably safe to assume this occurrence will not happen.

If you believe the rhetoric of the far left, you should definitely be concerned. If you are more reality based, you know that neither you, nor any other country in this world of our's has anything to worry about.

Uhhhh..... what? Why would we invade Canada? There are much more oil rich places than Canada we could invade. And anyway, there is really no point to invade Canada. Why would we want to piss off the international community by invading Canada? At least everybody in the world hated Saddam. Canada is just..... Canada. besides, we'd never win. You all would plow us down with your hockey sticks before we got very far. wouldn't be a very smart move on our part.

The problem with the U.S. invading Canada for their oil or any other reason, is that they would, in effect, be going to war with England, France, Japan, probably China and a host of other countries.
They don't need Canada's oil THAT much. :)

considering free trade and the fact that canada is the #1 supplier of oil to the u.s., that would be a really dumb move

first of all Canada was a colony of great Brittan in 1812 and not its own country so get your history straight and if oil is what we went in there for why is it coming out in a trickle and not gushing to line the pockets of the people you claim orchestrated it
PS the salvation army could conquer Canada in the matter of days
