you wear being attacked by a bear or something, and you had a gun, would you kill it? What if it was attacking a family member or friend? I HATE when people ask me this because I am completely against harming animals and I would really appreciate it if someone would sort of tell me what I could say when they do... thanks

I would fire the gun up in the air to try to scare the bear away and if that didn't work then I would try my best not to hurt the poor animal. hopefully it would scare away the bear.

Of course, you should kill what is coming at you.
I think what people are talking about when they are against killing animals is just stalking an animal and killing it when it hasn't done anything to you.
You don't go hitting people on the street do you, for no reason?
However, if someone comes at you with a knife, you should react and stop them--even if it means wiping them out!
Trying to avoid eating meat whenever possible, also, doesn't mean that you must die of hunger. There are plenty of alternatives. The less meat you eat, the less guilty you have to feel about contributing to animal deaths. However, if you're in a mountain and there's nothing around but pine-cones and a juicy whatever animal, well...Perhaps, just this once, just to survive--trust me, if the animal could take you on and it had to survive, it would.
So, we're back to the original question. Here it comes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahh that's a tough 'un. Well, probably I would kill it. Its like this: If a person was attacking you or your loved ones, would you kill them? They have the same intentions. I'm against killing Innocent animals but I think I'd rather save my family. And in my point of view, its not innocent if it's trying to kill me. Definately, I would kill it.

Tell them any person has a right to defend their life against anything or anyone who is trying to deny them of it. I'm sure your even more against killing people, but wouldn't you kill a person who is trying to kill one of your family (if you had to)?

I'm against killing animals too & I'm a vegetarian.
When people ask me stupid things like that I say "If I had to, but I wouldn't brag about it and mount it on my wall like people who kill for fun!."

I kill animals for fun... in fact, i trained my cat to kill bull dogs. She is considered a puma by the amount of things she has killed, but only a kitten by her size
