I don't know if it is my new rabbit or my rats- or if I even have ringworm. But that's kinda what it looks like. I got ringworm years ago from these baby rats I had and then they died. I don't know if that's what killed them but I don't wan't any of my pets to die. I love my animals and want to take good care of them. Please help me. What can I do?

Also... I have had my rats for a long time and hold them almost everyday and have never had this problem before. That's why I am leaning tward the rabbit. But in either case I need help on how to help them if indeed they do have ringworm. Oh yeah- and how can I tell if they have it or not? Any specific symptoms?

Some specific symptoms of ringworm would be a circle of bleached skin. Bumps on the skin. And some times leaking from the circle.
If your pet is constantly scratching that one part of the skin bring the pet to a vet immediately!!!
The vet should have should have an ointment for it.
Good luck!!

Fast Ringworm Cure?

if it is ringworm any affected animal will have bare, red spots anywhere on their body, even around the eyes. the spots will also have a slightly circular pattern to them. if you are concerned that it might be ringworm, i suggest long sleeved shirts and frequent hand washing. also, take them to the vet to have it diagnosed properly, because it might still be something else. if it is ringworm i have a surefire cure that will work alot sooner than the medications that the vet prescribes. take a soft cotton ball and dip it in some iodine and gently rub it on all affected areas. do this twice a day. the ringworm will clear up in a few days this way, instead of a week or two or longer.

I've never heard that ringworm is fatal. But if it looks like ringworm, I bet it is. First of all, you need to make sure that after you pet or handle one animal, be sure to wash thoroughly before handling the next. If they are together, then you will have to treat them both since it is highly contagious.

Call your vet - your vet can give you a topical cream that till heal ringworm...but you have to follow directions to the letter and keep from spreading it to other animals and people.

Well we thought our dog had ringworm but then we went to the vet and it turns out he doesn't

I think some signs are a patch of skin thats ring shaped where the hairs missing.. or maybe some kind of crusty or weird parts of the skin... it's not really itchy tho

You should take your pets to the vet to get them checked out. Even if it's not ringworm it might be some other kind of fungal or bacterial disease.

My dog had this white stuff on the tips of his ears and the vet took a sample and found out it wasnt ringworm.. but he gave us this cream (i think it was like antibacterial or something) to put on it and now its a lot better

You should go to the docter and vet. If there is like a rash or a spirrel line it is ringworm.

a scaly reddish rash sort of circle shaped and you need to take them to the vet and let them be looked at under a special light that makes ringworm glow

Take the pet to the vet. Take yourself to the Dr. If you have been threw this before then you know the score. You know what meds and creams are needed.
