okay i have aol and a web cam but i don't know how i can get other people to see it its hooked up and works

sorry to say but aol and webcamming, they didnt start doing webcam through im until about aol 8+ all aol 9.0's do it is there a possibility that you can upgrade the software to 8+ or 9?? reason why i say is that aol 8+ and 9 have the drivers in their software to be able to do webcamming live and through messaging (record and send) already built in.
note: also its good idea to check for webcam software updates by manufacterer of webcam.
you can also do webcamming on the computer if you have yahoo 6.0 and up
it is pretty easy to setup a webcam to the softwares, just to go the webcam wizard in the im you want to do the webcam with and make sure your webcam is connected. with yahoo, go to call setup. to get there, click on actions then go to call setup on dropdown menu,
webcam will be choppy and may freeze if you are using dialup,

AOL may have an alternate driver for the web-cam they are an odd sort. If you can I'd suggest getting another ISP.
Try using some program outside of the AOL environment and test it there. If it works then it's an AOL problem if it is, contact AOL support.
