ok here goes

If it is a sofa, first remove the cushions that come out.
Then you and a friend each grab an end, tilt it forward but not all the way on it's side then you may have to swing the end furthest from the door to one direction or the other to get the edge of the first arm in and then straighten up and go through with the sofa tilted like that.

Same with a chair.

If it is a cabinet then try turning it on end if it won't be too tall. then you can kinda twist it in usually .

Take your door off. That will give you the 2 inches

If you can't tilt it to fit it in you will have to remove the door and the door jamb. Have someone who knows what he or she is doing if you do this. Good luck!

Can you take the furniture apart so you can fit them thru the door?
I hope so.
Good luck

You'll have to tilt it up and take it through at an angle if it will fit. Or stand it up on its end and "turn it through" the doorway.
