There is no appreciation of old cartoons. You can find Bugs on Boomerang channel by Cartoon Network. The original cartoonist and voice of Bugs Bunny Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc have passed on but Bugs Bunny voices used in commercials are done by Mel Blanc's son, Noel.

Yes, the writers have died, yes, the person who did the voice of bugs bunny is dead too. Bugs Bunny cartoons is now playing on that Boomerang from Cartoon Network Channel.

Seeing that Bugs (one G, not two) Bunny is a cartoon character it is quite impossible for him to die. Maybe the artist who draws him died. Even then, I think it is all studio stuff now (Warner Brothers) and I sincerely doubt they would 86 him. Maybe "he" is making a movie.

The guy that did the original voice for bug died--his name was Mel Blanc. His son now does the voices.
