Yes it does. Surely you do not think most of our troops want to be in a war do you? They have taken a sworn oath to serve and protect our country. Whether the war is misguided or not, they the troops deserve our support.
What can it hurt any of us to drop a care package off at the local American Legion or VFW for our troops? Call these organizations ahead of time and they can tell you what are some of the most requested items. You may be surprised, usually the items are not expensive, they are just hard to come by in the middle east and they are comfort items for our troops.
I really cannot understand how any U.S. citizen could fail to support our troops.....don't understand it now and probably never will.

Yes, it makes sense. I'm sure you appreciate and respect American soldiers who service and defend our country, as I do. But you don't approve of this war, because it's not in the best interest of our soldiers or our country.
People who say that if your against the war your against the troops are setting up a dangerous way of thinking. Using that reasoning, every time we get in a war we HAVE to approve of it or we are not "supporting the troops" and by extension not supporting our country. Which then would mean we are unpatriotic, and thus treasonous. That's bull ! Anybody with any sense knows better. It's unfair for people to unjustly accuse us of not caring about our soldiers.

As a military veteran I can tell you that it makes plenty of sense. All people should be opposed to war, any war. The soldiers are doing their duty and deserve all the support you can give. I personally feel the same way you do, I am opposed to the war, however, I send a package of relief items to a platoon stationed at the local Army base every month. I do not blame the troops for their leaders faults.

Yes, Im against the war but support the troops, and want them home. I think If Bush wants more troops he should get his children and grandchildren on the front line first then bring in the others. He has no one over there so what does he care if we lose troops.

I say I am against the war but for the troops simply because I am against how Bush is dragging this out so long. He should have not listened to anybody and went in and got it over with. I think the soldiers are very heroic. There are thousands of stories they do that make it worthwhile to them to be there. The media calls them non stories and refuses to tell us.

Absolutely. As a 20 year AF Veteran, I can tell you that most Military people are NEVER in favor of war, as WE are the ones going to the front lines. I can also tell you that there are thousands of Military retirees, like myself, that would go back to active duty in a heartbeat if called. I am not a politician and do not know much about international relations, but I do know that there are times that the country must be defended against threats, and we must depend on the guidance our elected leaders.

Yes. There are lots of people out there that don't grasp that concept. Some feel that being against the war is being anti-troop. the brave men & women who volunteer and risk everything deserve our respect & support but one can still disagree strongly with the politics & the reasons we are in this huge mess.

Of course it makes sense...you can fully support our troops who have to go fight a war but that does not mean you have to agree with the politics and issues that sent them into harms way.

Makes lots of sense. I know a lot of troops that don't support the war but acknowledge that it is their duty.

it does make sense i dont support the war either i think its the u.s worst move all because of bush wanting the oil over there in iraq and this so called new iraq strategy like would make any difference. what difference is it suppose to do build more jobs and protect more people over there but more and more people doing bombings, ambushes. it goes on and on. the war needs to be stopped or all of us will end up being killed.
