sometimes i dream of going to far off places to live and explore, but the more i think about it, the more i realize it would be so hard for me to do that with my family and friends all living here. Have you done this and survived? if so, how did you get over the loss?

If you don't have kids go soon. A year or two is nothing in the grand scheme of things and the fact that you bring it up means you will probably regret not doing it.

My mother did and came back after 25 years. I always wondered if there was a real gene to allow that to be possible. I have wanted, but not and will not act on it.

i could for awhile. or if there was no point in staying even though i did have friends and family then i would still be able to do it. i can't explain what would get me through but i would, all on my own.

I love to travel. I do it as often as I can. I have done it by myself but it is much better shared with Friends or loved ones.

yes, i did for 10 years. i came home for my "family" tho.
if ur young enuf to do it then GO for it! u will make more friends where ever u go. u just cant "replace" ur family...
