Yes you can install the printer without the CD Rom, but you will need to download the drivers from the below internet site. If you are using new version of windows (Vista) they should have the drivers already included in the OEM version of the Windows software.

yes, i have done it with his one alot- its an old one- suprised you still have a working one! But you should to go to canon's us site, under consumer elctronics and download the driver for it! it adds the control software to help keep track of the ink and stuff...
Otherwise, 2k and above have a basic driver for the 600- its under canon and bublejet bjc-600...

Only if the computer has the information on the hard drive. another way is to log on the Internet and down load from manufacturer.

go to [ cannon/bjc600 ] this will give you the manual to load but you need adobe to read so you need it to [ adobe then cannon ]
