Tongue piercings looks bad on anyone...african american has nothing to do with it. In my opinion, its immature and unprofessional. You won't be taken seriously. Belly button piercing is better and you can hide it.

Tongue rings can cause really bad health problems but belly-button rings can be cute!

well the question is how old are you when asking this? I got mine when i was 14 it wasnt painful, it was funny because she kind of slipped while doing it that was the only bad part. the piercings only trashy if you make it. theres worse ones like navel and hood (dont look into them) with me people only see my belly button ring if its summer. so the piercing is whatever you make of it. if you want it go for it its a cool piercing, not trashy but the jewelry for it is kinda cute too. it was worth the money to me

I don't think that either are cute on anyone. It isn't a natural look, and it is jewelry to body parts which should never be pierced. They are ugly. A pair of earrings is okay, but more than one set is just ugly. Necklaces are pretty, anklets are pretty, bracelets are pretty, rings of any kind are pretty, but leave it at that.

the tongue ring is a definate no. the belly ring...that depends on lots of different things.

I didnt think it mattered what color you were. Some girls look cute with those, some don't. It's a personal thing, not a race thing.
