I feel that Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan are starting to become dead weight in the two starting positions after all these years and that other forwards( like Amare Stoudamire, Dirk, Elton Brand, etc.) deserve a chance to shine in the west. I know they are van voted in, but its kind of not right. What other guys do you think don't deserve their starting role(s)?

Definitely Shaq. He's only played in a handful of games.

I agree with over-emphasizing fan voting for the starting rosters. The same stars are typically selected year after year, though some stars like Kobe are deserving of it. The league should do away with the fan voting or at least let a player's stats weigh more heavily when selecting starting rosters.

It sucks when two MVP candidates (Nash and Nowitzki) are reserves on the West team when they should be starters.

Yao Ming and Shaq. I know Yao wont be starting but the only reason he gets so many votes is because he is the only player the people in China knows. Shaq only started 3 games, I think, at the time he was elected.

Tim Duncan and KG are future hall of famers.. if other ppl from the west wanna be an allstar they need to step their game up cuz they can knock out a starter..just look how gilbert ARENAS knocked out Vince Carter

Shaq and Garnett, and Chauncey Billups doesn't deserve to be an All-star. Michael Redd deserves to be an all-star.

My choices are:

C- Houston Rockets' Yao Mng- very good in defending and very good in shooting in the paint.

PF- Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki- he is a sharp shooter.

SF- Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett- he is very good in shooting in the paint.

SG- Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant- he can do amazing moves.

PG- Phoenix Suns' Steve Nash- he is very good in assists.

Result: Winner!!!!!!!

Shaq. He didn't even play that many games this season. He is lucky that Ben Wallace isn't doing as well as he used to.

you're making it sound like you want a no hitter or a suitable pastime to be a starter on the all megastar pastime. in years previous those were very uncommon. if he retains it up he advantages to make it to the all megastar pastime, not commence it nonetheless. ubaldo has that spot.
