Please don't let someone else choose what kind of tattoo for you to get. This is something you have to live with for the rest of your life. Wait until you find the exact tattoo YOU want to get. When you find it you will know. Don't rush and get one just to get one. It's permanent.

Go to the place you are planing on getting it done and have them draw a sketch of what you are wanting. Maybe you can combine all your ideas into one, or you might see what they look like and change your mind. If it was me and those were my choices though I'd go with the clover (I'm full blood Irish). You can even by some "fake" ink that the movie stars use and it is water resistant it only comes off with a certain chemical. Use that see if you really want a tat.

If you are not certain of what you want to get done, you probably shouldn't be getting a tattoo. Don't rely on other people's opinions either, because a tattoo should be unique and have meaning to you.

When you know what you want to get, you can work with your tattoo artist to create a custom design just for you.

Why not work a shamrock or claddagh into a tribal design - maybe it could be the center piece?
