Anyone who says "no" is a cynic.

Ronald Reagan said: "A troubled and afflicted mankind looks to us, pleading for us to keep our rendezvous with destiny; that we will uphold the principles of self-reliance, self-discipline, morality, and, above all, responsible liberty for every individual that we will become that shining city on a hill."

People who were formerly slaves of Communist Russia looked with hope to America, and we finally freed them.

People starving in Africa got their second chance at life through our generosity.

Now the troubled Muslim world, mired in sectarian violence and intolerance for many centuries, can look to the U.S. for guidance and assistance. Iraq and Afghanistan are fledgling democracies. We have given them the best gift they could ever receive.

Yes, America is that shining city on the hill Reagan spoke of.

Pretty close, yes. America was a gift in 1776, no doubt.
The America many envision is a very redeeming thing for the world. We simply need to shake the greed and corruption that divides and confuses so many. A very do-able thing.

It can be fixed by terminating all exports and foreign country preventing all imports - especially anything on the airwaves on written.

Pretty much, yes. We spend more money, give more aid, and clean up more countries garbage than any other nation in the history of the world. I get sick of being the world's police force, but if we don't, they claim their problems that they created are our fault. We can't win. The whole world is our welfare recipient. Clean up your own continents, countries of the earth!

(Except most of western Europe. You guys are doing a decent job.)
