Why does every nice relationship have to lead to something as horrific as marriage. Can't we all just get along?

I think it really depends on how both of you feel about the situation. If you are in a place where you are comfortable in the relationship as it stands and you are happy with that...AND...the other person is also content in doing the same thing, then it's OK. Now, if you are looking for more in your life and are staying in a relationship that you are just comfortable in, you may end up hurting the other person and yourself by not being honest about your feelings. It is really best to feel out the other person's feelings.

Just remember one thing, you don't get the time that you wasted back when you find your true soulmate...

Depends on if what you're aiming for is marriage or not. If you aren't planning on ever getting married or don't believe in marriage, then I don't think it's a problem, unless you just don't see any future at all with the person. If, on the other hand, you want to get married, you should probably try to find someone who is looking for the same thing.

Sure...why do all relationships have to be building towards marriage. As long as your spouse (if you ever have one) understands that you and the other person had a sexual history but are still friends, there's nothing wrong with it.

Nope. Especially if you're planning on purchasing something major, want a child, planning on moving, etc.

No it doesn't. You would be treating the idea of sex with contempt by turning it into just a craving that you satisfy whenever and wherever.

sure it does! marriage is just a piece of paper. you can still love them just as much as if you were legally married.
